Xros Components, Flash Digivolve!

By the vast majority of fans, the Xros Wars manga has typically been the better man between its two incarnations. The manga capitalizes on strengths and concepts that the anime often failed to and now it makes official one particular detail that's been bugging people since both versions began.

Akari and Zenjirou were sort of the odd ducks in the whole shebang due to not having a Digivice or any sort of Digimon specific to themselves, though both versions have somewhat stretched this by having them be buddies with Cutemon and RarePickmon. Not having a partner or device isn't entirely new to the franchise as the audience has been introduced to Rei Saiba from V-Tamer and Kiyoshi from D-Cyber. Perhaps Akari and Zenjirou were meant to be references or riffs to these characters to an extent, but no one can say for sure unless Riku Sanjou releases Notes about the series.

Now the tables are turned as the recent manga scans have been leaked into the 'net. During a battle with Tactimon and his unsheathed Skeletal Sword Strike, Shoutmon X7 looses and DeXrosses back into Shoutmon and the others. X7 evidently lands some hit as Tactimon's helmet is cracked and leaking Dark Power. I suppose this means Tactimon is a mere Pretender Shell of a PERFECT man.

Anyhoo, Starmon seems to have gotten the brunt of it as he's got a shattered limb and cracked body. Shoutmon doesn't look to well either as Taiki tries to tend to the two of them. Dunno what's become of Kiriha or ZeekGreymon at this stage, but they don't seem to be around at the moment. Kotone, Akari and Zenjirou team up with Sparrowmon, Dorurumon and Ballistamon and their powerful conviction creates a miracle!

Even Sparrowmon, who I've seen many people having preferred Sparrowmon Flash Digivolved rather than Nene getting Mervamon, joins in the miracle by responding to Kotone's emotions.

The manga chapter ends with everyone surprised at this sudden Evolution, with Tactimon probably thinking the same thing he spoke aloud when Shoutmon first Digivolved.

Taking the cue that OmegaShoutmon and ZeekGreymon started, the three new Digimon all retain a robotic body type. AlturBallistamon and RaptorSparrowmon retain the idea of Digivolution being treated specifically more so as a form of aging as the two are very much grown up versions of their original selves. JagerDorurumon reignites a trend that Garurumon originally started: 4-Legged Type to 2-Legged Type.

JagerDorurumon is a humanoid Knight looking Digimon with Dorurumon's original head still in place but with some refinements and a giant drill shaped spear to truly pierce the heavens like never before.

RaptorSparrowmon ditches the Latios/as look for something that resembles Wargle and Starraptor PokeXrossed together.

All three Digimon look to be designed to DigiXros together with Omega/Shoutmon and potentially ZeekGreymon to form something beyond Shoutmon X7, though what specifically remains to be seen.

There's also the matter of who the third Xros Loader will go to though I'm sorta convinced it could belong to Nene once the Darkness Loader has been destroyed/dealt with in some manner.

As for news at the Hunting guild, we have two new episode titles.... and they both feel more like filler.

Garmmon translated the following:

"12/11 - Tagiru's getting soft (limp?)!? Gumdramon is in big trouble!!
12/17 - Delicious? Disgusting? Digimon Ramen Contest!"

I have no idea what either of these are specifically about, and I can't really fathom the Ramen episode unless Davis and Veemon are sponsoring the contest somehow.
