Details of the 4th part of the Digimon Anniversary are still sketchy at best. V-Jump scans have started cropping up, and the Digimon section so far has this to reveal:

Digimon World Re: Digitize is coming to the 3DS.

Rechristened Digimon World Re: Digitize Decode!

But not quite as one would expect, but initially met with sour faces since... well the damn thing already came out on the other console. The only thing great about this one seems to be the promise of a better chance at Legionization localization. However, with new details, this may create a new problem.... (Not that video games )

Rather than "just being a port", it appears to be something more.

Details are still a bit cloudy, but it's stated that the 3DS version is a sequel of the original with a focus on X-Antibody Digimon.

Either way, what we do have are two original stories and the promise of new, never before seen Digimon.

As for the stories, one ("The Lamentful X-Antibody") stars Dorumon and the X-Antibodies (in particular, Omnimon and Gallantmon are also present) while the other is titled "The Scheming Demon Lord". Which one is plotting their schemes where ever they go is not made clear. We did see Lilithmon in the original, so maybe she and Lili are up to something.

With the mention of the X-Antibodies, it's also stated that some of the new Digimon are to be new X-Antibody variants.

Potentially, "The Lamentful X-Antibody" is probably a reference to X-Evolution especially with the significance of Dorumon, Omnimon and Gallantmon to the plot.

It's worth noting that the Vitiums, the Digimon like antagonists of the original game, are still there at least according to one screenshot possibly similar to how the Splatters were still around in EM2. The game is slated to come out this year, but the exact date is TBA. "The Scheming Demon Lord" storyline will have more information in the next issue.

As of now though, it's unclear if Decode is the forth part of the Anniversary or just some extra thing, though I wager it probably is indeed the forth part. Don't take my word for it though, I'm just guessing. Apparently the V-Jump scan doesn't state whether or not it is, but it would appear the scan hasn't been gone through with a fine tooth comb by other translators just yet.

To clarify the other stages of the Anniversary were the PSP version of Re:Digitize, the iPhone Digimon Crusader and the PSP Digimon Adventure RPG.

Digimon games in America? I hope that's the case...
And I'm thinking the promises of new digimon probably refers to older generation digimon but modified by the X-Antibody.
There is also a slim chance for the new royal knight (or maybe not, since I really don't know if Gankuumon is the real deal /: )

The Fusion toys are set to come out next year, which may include other things like race car toys from what I've seen with Megaforce. I still believe the DS games are a strong possibility.

That's what I was thinking as well in addition to normal Digimon not included earlier.

He's the real deal, no worries there.

It is more likely to get a US port, it's on the 3DS, which is a console everyone has and isn't dead, Fusion is coming to the states later this year and it can probably coincide with the release of the anime, and Bandai and Saban probably want to introduce Digimon to a new generation. Oh God I realized something. With Digimon being re-introduced to a new generation of kids, that probably means there's going to be another Digimon Pokemon War. I don't know if that's horrible or awesome.

The 3DS is still kickin' so I wager we've got a really good chance. Just depends on if the game is localized before or after Fusion's run in the US.

Heh. I don't think it'd be too bad of it resurfacing again. Nostalgic factor after all, lol.

well Fusion has a good 76 episode run and if if gets popular enough Re: Digitize can most likely get an English release

I remember the wars. Schoolyard taunting kids saying which was better than which. I used to be on the Pokemon side...Until I saw Digimon the Movie and realized how awesome Digimon was and became a fan

Wonder what this entails for the rest of the world, so much to take in and yet with no clues either

This sounds interesting (especially since I have a 3DS and no PSP >>)
I'd like to see what they do with the X-Antibodies, since they don't seem to get the spotlight to often.
