Description
Out of all the Predacon designs I've whipped up, Everglave's my favorite thus far.
Originally, he started off as a working concept for one of the first Predacons the Autobots would face; a working idea was that he was originally going to be Gutcruncher (I got the name mixed up with Skullcruncher, but liked Gut better) and his design would be more Wheel Gator inspired. Another idea was that he might've been one of the Seacons King Posiedon maybe searching for to "build himself back up".
The more I thought of his role, the more it felt like a rip off of Underbite's role in Adventure's premier episodes; his personality was a bit generic tough guy, and he was a glutton.
When thinking of what he could turn into, I thought more of swamps and banjos, and finally an airboat; it all started coming together.
I suppose he DOES resemble an animatronic, though he's not affiliated with the Fredicons.
When Autobots hear the sounds of banjos playing in the Acid Swamps, Sulfur Bogs or the Rust Sea; they transform, tighten up and go full reverse. There be alloygators in them waters, and no one wants to get chomped, munched, gobbled, serenaded or otherwise violated by these rough n' tumble hick-bots.
Everglaive is all these things and a sack of rusty lugnuts, but for the most part he wants to be left alone to his own devices to swim and sing.

While he's not bad with a musical instrument, his singing sounds like Soundwave trying to gargle an auto tuner through a blender.
As such he's made enemies out of the more musically inclined 'bots Blaster, Jazz and Dinoshout who is especially critical though he's not any better.
He's also attracted the ire of Longtooth, a Beast Hunter, but also because Longtooth claims it was an alloygator that stole his leg. Or his pocket watch. Or his fifth Conjunx Endura. Whatever the case, Longtooth has a bit of a racist-pathelogical hatred of the guy. It's because of 'bots like Longtooth and Dinoshout that Everglaive prefers being on his own, it's not easy being green after all, but deep down, the simple country 'bot does yearn for a friend.
Still, because of his gnashing teeth, razor sharp hide, brute strength, claws, species' reputation, allegiance, anti-social tendencies and worst of all, his banjo, it's gonna take one heck of a guy to overlook these character flaws and see the simpleton underneath.
