Upon hearing rumors of the DigiXros Tournament, General Dan and his partner Betamon decide to investigate by going to the source: Uplink City. After discovering the rules, he leaves most of his original Digimon Army behind with Aya and the other members of Xone Liberation and takes with him other specific Digimon.

As a person, Dan is a nice guy, and pretty outgoing. He is willing to lend a hand or give advice to others if he sees fit. As someone who's been associated with both the Digital World and the Digimon for as long as he can remember, he holds them dearly and doesn't appreciate others who mistreat them.

His main Partner is Betamon, a Digimon he's known for as long as he remembers. They're inseparable and it's a very rare occasion to otherwise see them apart. As Betamon is a foreign Digimon, he has to wear Headphones to filter data disrupting "Noize" that exists in the Digital World's Xones. He has a sarcastic and slightly pessimistic personality, but Betamon's always there to do what needs to be done.

Beta Slugger-Curls up into a ball charged with electricity and tackles the enemy as hard as he can. As Betamon has squishy skin, he can bounce around and attack repeatedly. Sometimes, Dan launches the attack by kicking Betamon like a soccer ball.

Bog Blaster-Charges up a stream of electricity in his mouth and fires it at enemies.

Both are old fashioned and enjoy watching 80's and 90's shows through Garnitormon and reading comics like Uncle Scrooge. As a result of these hobbies, both have a dry sense of humor and aren't afraid to using the occasional gags or jokes to make a point whether in conversation or in battle.
